Education clients need signage that earns its place on campus.
A school monument sign is more than identification — it carries the community's identity for decades. A university donor wall is part of the institution's fundraising infrastructure. An athletics facility sign sets the tone for a program. Signs PQ approaches education signage with that weight in mind: durable materials, brand fidelity to the institution's mark and color system, and a fabrication standard that supports the long horizons schools and universities plan against.
School district programs — district-wide consistency.
For independent school districts, we deliver standardized signage programs across multiple campuses while accommodating per-school identity. The district monument and brand standard governs; the individual school name plates, mascots, and accent colors vary within it. We work with district facilities and communications teams to develop the system once, then deploy it across campuses on a phased schedule that respects bond timelines and the school calendar. Most installations happen in summer or over holiday breaks to avoid disrupting the school day.
Higher education — recognition, identity, and wayfinding.
University and college campuses are wayfinding ecosystems. We deliver complete sign families: campus monument and entry signs, vehicular and pedestrian wayfinding, building identification, ADA-compliant interior signage, athletics facility identification, donor and dedication recognition, and event/visitor signage. For donor recognition walls, we work from the institution's naming policy and giving levels, build to museum-grade fabrication standards, and design for future expansion as additional donors are named.
Built for student environments.
School and university signage has to withstand student environments: hallway traffic, athletic facilities, dormitories, and outdoor common spaces. We specify finishes and materials accordingly — vandal-resistant mounting on accessible exterior signage, edge-sealed acrylic on interior identification, and graffiti-resistant coatings where appropriate. ADA compliance is uncompromising; we work to the 2010 Standards for tactile character height, finish, and contrast, with Braille translated by certified providers when required by the institution.
Frequently Asked
Can you work within bond program documentation requirements?
Yes. We provide bid-package documentation, submittals, and close-out documentation suited for public bond programs and have done so for multiple DFW independent school districts.
Do you fabricate donor recognition walls?
Yes. We work from the institution's naming policy and gift level structure, fabricate to a museum-grade standard, and design the system for future donor additions without rebuild.
How do you handle installs during the school year?
Most installs are scheduled for summer, winter, or spring break. When in-session installation is unavoidable, we coordinate with district facilities and campus administration on access, security, and dust/noise containment.
